We ran the 2011 vintage of this fabulous wine in September last year and sold out in record time. We have just received our allocation of just 25 cases of the 2012. I tasted it on Thursday last week and can confirm it is a real Bobby Dazzler of a wine - see below my tasting note quoted verbatum. I was amazed!

Now do be quick to avoid missing out on one my favourites of the year.

La Chaussynette is essentially a declassified Chateauneuf and represents outstanding value for a wine from one of the most famous wine growing regions in the world.

This wine is the baby brother to the famous Cuvee du Quet which has been awarded 100/100 by Robert Parker, which is exceptional. Robert Parker has only awarded perfect marks to about 100 wines in his long career. La Chaussynette is considered the estate's ‘secret’; it's a non advertised wine sold at a bargain price to those in the know!

Brother and sister team Christine and Daniel Chaussy are 6th generation wine makers from the esteemed family estate of Mas de Boislauzon. Along with their mother Monique they take a traditional approach to wine making with their vineyards recently becoming certified agriculture biologique (organic). The vineyards are situated within the Chateauneuf du Pape wine growing region and some of their vines are more than 80 years of age.

Mas de Boislauzon

Lovely - poised - nice spicy, savoury nose, redcurrants. Palate has some fresh fruit but overiding delicious peppery and plummy with some grip, countryside thrown in, with an amazing finish. Actually very feminine - tasty. Very tasty.

It doesn't matter what you do with this wine, what you eat with it, it is simply sublime.
